Mallorca - a picturesque island idyll
If you don't know Mallorca yet, you will be visibly amazed at the variety this dreamy island has to offer.
So if you like hiking, you will be fascinated by the rugged Tramutana mountains, which stretch from the southwest for about 80 km to the northeast.
Cyclists will find their favorite trails anywhere on this island, ranging from flat plains to challenging climbs.
Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth, be it snorkeling, diving or kite surfing, or being able to be the captain and steer a small motorboat yourself.
The vegetation is very diverse and varied once you cross the island. Of course, there is also a wide range for culture lovers: museums, churches, musicals and ballet performances, concerts of all kinds as well as tapas tours, picture galleries and much more are on the daily program.
Everywhere on the island you will find markets typical of the country where local goods are offered for sale, and then trips to the well-known wine-growing regions with tasting of the fine Majorcan wine selection, trips to the well-known orange-growing region or to the peach plantations are worthwhile.
The annual almond blossom leaves an unforgettable impression in the months of January to March, when the island shines in white and pink. And last but not least, forget that Mallorca is very party-loving. Throughout the year, breathtaking festivals with impressive fireworks and rhythmic drum rolls take place in every town. Nobody stays in their seats and you just have to dance along.
